About the 20 centimes Napoleon III French stamp (Yvert 14)

In this blog I am showing 19th Century French stamps. I will start with Yvert 14, which is, in my opinion, the gateway stamp to collecting 19th Century French stamps. Yvert 14 had printing runs totalling 1,214,050,800 stamps!!! The stamp is found on and off cover in vast numbers. It is also found on piece:

The stamp on this piece is postmarked with a 3383 Petits Chiffres (or PC) for Toulouse, from the Haute-Garonne department.

There are two types for Yvert 14. There are minor differences between the two types. The type I bust is missing cross lines on the neck. There are also some differences in the hair pattern between the two types. Here are the details for type I:

Here is type II:

This 2250 Petits Chiffres corresponds to Neuilly-sur-Seine in the Seine department.
